紫苏酱

We had too much shiso growing in the back garden and tried to look up ways to use it up here. This recipe was perfect! I didn't know shiso could be used in a pesto like this.

I served it with a simple ham omelette for a light dinner. The taste is unique and the colour vibrant, discussions at the dinner table on how to use it up involved chicken or seafood pasta, as marinade and perhaps as spread on a toasted foccacia or a burger. 😻💖 What a wondrous discovery!
